The Mission of Paulie's New Orleans Jazz & Blues Festival is to provide quality New Orleans & Louisiana jazz,
blues, country, funk and zydeco music and food within an urban setting.
"New Orleans & Louisiana at the street curb on a stick"

The Festival first took place in 2008 at the current site behind John & Son's II, aka John & Son's Fairgrounds:>) It's birth is a direct result of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival which takes place every year during the last week in April and first week of May in New Orleans, Louisiana
and a couple of city guys looking for something to do one weekend:>)

In 2008, we had two bands - The Chris Fitz Band and the Hurricane Horns. In 2009, we expanded the music line-up to include 5 bands, including The Chris Fitz Band, The Hurricane Horns w/ Special Guest Craig Rawring of the Delta Generators as well as River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs, Henri Smith Friends & Flavours, and LisaMarie & All Shook Up.

The 2010 Line-up consisted of Emmanuel Baptist Church Choir, Hurricane Horns who returned for the third year and only band to play all three festivals, a returning Lisa Marie & All Shook Up as well as Henri Smith New Orleans Friends and Flavours w/ special guest Charles Neville of the Neville Brothers fame. New in 2010 were the Love Dogs, the Roadkill Orchestra, Delta Generators, Holmes "Keep It Funky" and all the way from New Orleans - Anders Osborne!

The ultimate goal for future festivals is for there to be Gospel, more New Orleans bands involved and other genres of music which represent the neighborhood diversity that makes up the Village of Piedmont, Worcester, MA.
