The following age groups will be used for series scoring:
The series scoring will work as follows:
In case of a tie in the final standings for one of the top four places, a runner who has participated in all three races will be placed ahead of someone who has participated in just two races. If there's a tie involving two or more runners who have participated in the same number of races, the tie will be broken as follows:
Those that run all three races will receive a runners jacket with embroidered series logo!
The 2018 Jackets will be passed out at the merchandise table on Saturday & Sunday in the lobby of the 2019 Hyannis Marathon, Half Marathon, 10Km & Marathon Team Relay Expo – we do not mail out.
If you run all three half marathons or 10Km's in 2018, we will need your "gender specific, aka, Mens Large or Women's XSmall" jacket size by December 15, 2019.
Please Note: THIS WILL BE THE ONLY TIME AND PLACE WE WILL PASS OUT THE JACKETS IF YOU DO ALL THREE. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE SOMEONE PICK UP FOR YOU.
The top 10 males and females in the 2018 final series standings will receive a free entry into all three series races in 2019.
Additionally, the overall male and female winners in the 2018 final standings will receive hotel accommodations for one night at the series race of their choice (you need to contact us if you wish to do this), and the second, third and fourth-place finishers will receive merchandise from the series races.
If you have won a free entry in 2019, then you need to mail in a completely filled out mail in race application before the race has closed out (at the bottom of the application please write "won CCHMT free entry").
You need to run all three 10Km's or three half marathons - there is no mixing of distances allowed to qualify.
Please note: The distance for the CHIPS House 10Km+ is actually 7.4 miles
You need to run them not just pay for them – you are not paying for a jacket, you are running to achieve a jacket.
You just need to register for the races before they close out – you do not need to
register for them all at once but you do need to do before a race sells out.
We will post points & standings beginning after the 1st race in the series and we will start posting who has done the first 2 and so on beginning after the 2nd race in series. It is your responsibility to make sure you are included on these lists – we have no idea you plan to do the series but are delighted that you are. Being on the lists lets us know you are!
You should use the same name registering for all three races. For example, if your name is William Jones or Jessica Smith there will be a problem recording your participation if you sign up for one race as William Jones or Jessica Smith and another as Billy Jones and Jess Smith.
